Me and a friend of mine wanted to go to a cemetary (sp?) at night to find ghost.
I know some of ya'll dabble in the supernatural and i wanted to know what ya'll thought of this idea?
safe... or not?

Depends on the cemetary I think. Some that I've gone to I've felt really peaceful and safe, others...not so much.  A lot of ritual activity is done in or near cemetaries too so in those areas there may not be just ghosts there  .

Definitely!!! I had one follow me home (not an evil one I don't think). I would wake up at see a tall dark shadow on the side of my bed. It happened for about 2-3 days after visiting a cemetary north of Atlanta. I just started praying alot then it went away. I should have sit out this particular investigation since I wasn't feeling the best and I think that's probably why it followed me - I didn't have my guard up and didn't close the investigation properly.

I did it once and never did it again, I have to say you really can bring home something bad, I did just that, so won't ever try it again because of that. I was the youngest one there that night out of 30 people and it followed me home, I was only 10 at the time. Nope I wouldn't go looking at all in a grave yard again, for the life of me.

Oh wait I did do it one other time, but we were just walking close to the grave yard when something started following us home, I wont ever walk close to one again after dark. A freaken 6 mile walk to get home, and something kept walking behind us all the way home, Crap it scared the bejeepers out of me. We could see it to when we got close to the lights, we could see a dark shadow and that was it. No person, just a dark figure.

I think I read something that says you should take two seconds before you leave a cementary and say that anything here can't follow you home, and they have to listen.

That is suppose to work, but there are no guarantees. When I had my first encounter when I was just a kid, I have to say they did do just that, but it still seemed to have picked me out of the crowd and came home with me.

Of course though a few Ministers and others said it was because I was the youngest, and because everyone was picking at me while we were there. It was the last time I went out for a Halloween bash with the school again. they even had a couple of people there that knew what they were doing, yet one did leave and followed me home, so I would have to say that some experts are just not experts.

Another superstition is that you should bite your finger if you point at anything while in a cemetary or else the spirit could you may have pointed at may follow you home afterwards.

I forgot to mention that I lived in front of a large old cemetary growing up and things would happen sometimes as I was falling or awakening from sleep (i.e. something was holding my hand one day when I woke up, say red eyes staring at me, entire room turned a light red color) but never when I was fully awake. I guess they just get tired of the cemetary sometimes  .

Robyn, John and I believe Melissa(Rock Chick) went to a cemetery near them and got followed home.  They all said there was something weird going on - evil, maybe.

Read this thread, HERE, for one.  Anything about Spring Hill Cemetery, or SHC, is about this one place they went often.  Apparently, there was an old shed of some kind in the rear of the property.  The rumors are that people use to put black people into a grinding machine that was in the shed.  Sick!  But, due to this horror, they felt there may be something there.  There may have been.

Yes, Morgan! I know that we already discussed this on FB but, I wanted to post here as well.
Be very very careful about protecting yourself...always!

Su was right, a few of us (John  H., Kim and I, not Melissa) went to the cemetery after an investigation in the area and it was one of the most frightening ordeals I have ever gone through! And we never even got out of the van!!! We all felt a presence attached to the roof of the van during the trip down the highway too. We all recited prayers until we felt that it had let go. Damn thing was extremely tenacious! And it was evil! You could just feel it!

Always surround yourself with the white light before visiting anywhere that may have spirits or entities of any kind.  You don't have to go looking for ghosts to find them, or for them to find you! Just an innocent trip to the cemetery to visit the grave of a loved one can end up a visit from hell if something attaches itself to you. So, please, everyone...BE CAREFUL!!!

I know this is a little  but did any of you here about the large amount of missing pets in the area Springhill (or close to it) area?  I'm thinking a cult or solo animal torturer  (I know, baaaaad Casperette  ) is involved - the cemetary is a good place to find the cults. So John, you should get on that!  Seriously, I can't stand hearing about people harming (or stealing) people's pets, I may have to come up to your hood Amy with my crucifix and some holy water  There was a case in Georgia where pets were going missing in a neighborhood and people actually heard weird screams coming from this guy's home but it still took awhile for someone to call the police.  If it had been me hearing the screams, dude would have had to call the popo on me!!!!  Please watch your little furry ones until the culprit(s) is caught y'all.

To get back on subject - you have to been careful of the living things in the cemetary at night too!

I remember that, it was freaky. All I have to say is let a ghost try and follow me home now! The mood I have been in lately It would just run from me scared...
